As a kid, 2020 seemed like an almost unimaginable point in the distant future. Having been a big fan of The Jetsons as an impressionable young boy, the second decade of the 21st Century certainly seemed like a time when flying electric vehicles would be all the rage.
You can imagine my ongoing disappointment with the fact that I have to commute to work in a regular car……..and I’m still waiting for a hover board.
One thing that has changed from the time I was a kid, however, has been the introduction of electric vehicles. Cost-efficient, environmentally friendly, and surprisingly more practical than many believe, these represent a development that has changed the transportation and vehicular industry for the better – more so, since the introduction of SolarEdge’s EV charger.
On a chat with a friend the other day, we discussed how these EV chargers represent the next stage of the electric car evolution. One thing she said stands out – “Solar-powered vehicles are a step further towards the future we need to survive.” While this wasn’t something I hadn’t heard before, I was deeply struck by it; perhaps because COVID-19 has proved, if nothing else, that human beings are not as infallible as we think.
With an EV charger, which I will write more about in this post, driving an electric vehicle has become more affordable and environmentally friendly than it has ever been. As someone who recently made this charger a part of my life – and with a significantly lighter carbon footprint – I’ve found myself able to sleep more soundly at night.
